A recent entry to the dog sporting world dock diving is simply that: The dog jumps off a dock! ​

There are three disciplines in dock diving:

Big Air -- The handler throws a toy over the water, and the dog runs and jumps into the water after it. The dog is judged by the distance of their jump.

​

Extreme Vertical -- A toy is extended over the water at a starting height, and the dog must run and jump up to grab it. The height is gradually increased over the course of the competition.

​

Speed Retrieve -- A toy is extended just over the water at the far end of the tool. The dog must run, jump, and grab the toy as quickly as possible.

These disciplines can be seen at individual events, or competitions incorporating all three! This is one of Ironworks Labradors dogs' (and people's) favorite activities!
